FAQ'S
QUES: What sink should I choose?
ANS: Colour, cost and type are all relative factors in selecting your new sink. In order of importance Sink Type should be the first priority. You may get the price you want but regret not investing in a more robust sink when the battle scars start to appear. Some points to consider in your selection are... How much action will the sink see? This determines the material you should choose Do you have a dishwasher? This determines the size of bowl you require What is your kitchen's colour scheme? Is the sink to be a feature? For additional information see 'Sink Introduction'
QUES: What tap should I choose?
ANS: In most cases, you'll want to replace the tap along with the sink. If you stick with a well-known manufacturer, you have the assurance of quality. Points to consider when selecting a tap are...
Washer-less operation. This term encompasses ball, cartridge and ceramic-disk valves. Ceramic-disk valves are likely to last longest, particularly if your water is hard or has lots of sediment. But all three should be trouble-free for years and are relatively easy to repair if necessary.
A long spout. If your sink has three bowls, opt for a 12- to 14-inch.-long spout. A spout that swivels at least 180 degrees, especially when buying a multi bowl sink. You'll need that flexibility to reach the different bowls.
Is your water supply high or low pressure? - The wrong pressure rated tap will give a less effective performance than you hoped. A simple test is to check the existing pressure that comes out of your existing kitchen sink tap. If you are moving into a New Build Property then your plumber will be able to advise you what bar pressure your water is.
TIP: Choose a tap that does not inhibit opening your kitchen window. See Sink Tap intro for more information What's hot? Single-handled models with pullout spouts are getting the most attention. They come in different finishes, and are convenient for cleaning veg, fish & meat as well as the sink and the insides of large pans. Spouts with stainless steel hoses kink less than the cheap plastic equivalents.
Taps with water filters built into the spout are fast becoming a kitchen essential and prices are far more affordable than a year ago. Bottled water sales are at an all time high, which could suggest a water purifier tap as an economical investment. Pot fillers - cold-water taps on long swing-out arms installed near your range or hob - are also growing in popularity.
As for finishes, chrome remains the most popular. It's durable, easy to clean and versatile. Brushed stainless steel is a good second choice though slightly dearer. Polished-brass finishes are less fashionable than they were though still work well with the more traditional type kitchen and Belfast sinks. Satin-nickel finishes are another increasingly popular option. "They're warm and soft, and will also blend in with most kitchen finishes.
QUES: What is the difference between sink types?
ANS: Typically this question is answered by stating that price, character and durability are the defining factors of difference. See each individual sink description for more detailed information.

ANS: Certainly nothing to do with the cheap materials that are available on the Internet. 95% of our sinks are regular branded products those that are less well known are equal in quality. You will not be disappointed. Seconds and casualties are sold as such. Here are 4 major reasons whyt we are the UK's cheapest sink & tap suppliers...firstly, volume purchase grants us bigger discounts that we pass on to our customers, secondly, we constantly seek to rationalise our business model so that overheads are always at a minimum whilst maintaining quality & service. Thirdly, we believe the SPQR theory "small profits equal quick returns". And fourthly, we constantly monitor the Internet to maintain that we offer the lowest prices for kitchen sinks and taps. Hence our price promise.

QUES: How do I order?
ANS: Simply select the sink and tap you require, click on "ADD TO SHOPPING CART" then click link to "CHECKOUT" where, if required, you can amend, delete or progress your order, this will automatically take you to our 28 bit secure online encrypted host for you to enter your delivery & payment details. A confirmation email detailing your order will immediately be sent to you followed by an emailing with delivery details.
QUES: How long will I wait for my order?
ANS: Most UK deliveries take 3-10 working days. Deliveries are made between 8am - 6pm. We advise you not to book your plumber or joiner until you actually have the goods on site.
QUES: Can I specify a delivery date & time?
ANS: The order form allows you to specify a preferred Monday - Friday delivery date. As your order is shipped via a "fragile goods carrier" this may not tie in with their delivery circuit for your area, so an alternate will be offered. Unfortunately, traffic conditions, prior deliveries etc prevent us from being able to tell you whether your delivery will be am or pm. Drivers, for the most part, are not permitted to carry mobile phones which prevent them calling either you or us with a delivery update. Conditions of delivery are that a vehicle can park within close and safe proximity to the delivery address and that able-bodied helpers are available to assist the driver to offload, if required.
QUES: Can you deliver to another address?
ANS: The delivery form allows you to specify the delivery address as a second address to the credit card holder's actual address. This service is only possible, where the actual credit card holder has provided proof that the order is to be offloaded at an address other than where the credit card statement is registered. Conditions of delivery are that a vehicle can park within close and safe proximity to the delivery address and that able-bodied helpers are available to assist the driver to offload if required.
QUES: What's involved with taking delivery?
ANS: Conditions of delivery are that a vehicle can park within close and safe proximity to the delivery address and that able-bodied helpers are available to assist the driver to offload if required.
QUES: What if Goods arrived damaged?
ANS: We make every effort to see that your order arrives in the exact quality checked condition it left the store. Goods are carefully packaged and when not on the companies own transport is delivered via fragile goods specialists. We advise you to thoroughly check your order on arrival, any damage is usually evident by the condition of the packaging. You are under no obligation to accept damaged goods. Simply mark the drivers delivery note "goods damaged, not received" and they will be returned and a replacement will be sent to you as soon as possible.
QUES: What if I don't like the sink/taps?
ANS:If you decide you do not wish to keep your purchase you can return it in its original undamaged packaging within 7 days. Unfortunately this would be at your own expense. Once the sink or tap was checked back in to stock as resalable your account would be credited with the purchase value.
QUES: Can I fit the sink myself?
ANS:Many people successfully install their own sink and most sinks come with installation information. See also our 'Installing Your Sink Guide' If in any doubt, arrange for a plumber to come and fit your sink for you. Establish in advance if your plumber is prepared to do the worktop cut out also. You may require a carpenter for this.
QUES: What guarantees do the sink or tap have?
ANS:All sink & tap manufacturers offer varying guarantees & warranties from 2 years to 20 years. Each sink will come with its own guarantee information.
QUES: Does the sink come complete?
ANS:Not always. Some come complete and all you require is a plumber and water!, others may require you to order the plugs/ wastes separately. Remember when order your sink to establish if plugs and wastes come with your chosen model or are they extra. This may save the plumber a costly return visit. Check also if you can order a plumbing kit with your sink - usually this can work out cheaper in the long run as your plumber may not have the necessary fittings in his van.
QUES: Can I fit a waste disposal?
ANS:most sinks can be fitted with a waste disposal. Always check in advance.
QUES: What are the different types of waste disposal?
ANS:See the following link Waste Disposals
